Plomosa BLM Quartzsite, Arizona High 79 Low 54Today started out cloudy, but by noon it had cleared off and got warm. Tonight is forecast to be warmer than it has been. This morning we decided to go check out the rock and gem show by La Mesa RV. There were a lot of vendors there with all of them pertaining to rocks. One even had a fossil of some kind of animal. I don’t know what it was, but it was kind of interesting. There was a lot of jewelry there and a lot of it looked very nice.We went back to the place west of the main tent and Tyson Wells. We found the same lady we talked to yesterday, and Cindy had already decided she was going to make some necklaces, and bought some strands of semi-precious beads and some nice strands of rock ...Read more...

We woke to cloudy skies this morning...quite a change from what we have been used to. We are going out on our ATV's today...taking Alan and Cec out in their jeep to show them the area and also introduce them to geocaching.Everyone met at our place at 10:00...there would be five ATV's; Earl (Allison decided to stay home today), Eric and Janet; Fred and Terri, Steve, me...and of course, one jeep. After introducing Cec and Alan to everyone, we were on our way.We are going on the same ride we took on January 9 to Dripping Springs, Apache Chief Cabin and Hogback trail, but it's one of our favorites and we thought it would be a good one to take Alan and Cec on.Along the way there is a geocache that Earl and Allison hid on our last ride. Quartzsite!After running the Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon with my Leaf Verde RV friend Robbie on Sunday, Monday morning Jerry and I, along with Jerry’s Mom, got a 7:30am start and headed out to Quartzsite to see what all the fuss is about. From our domicile spot at Leaf Verde RV Resort in Buckeye, it is an easy, 100 mile trek west. Miles before exiting, we could see Quartzsite off in the distance, a blip off the I-10 that gains thousands of new residents for a mere few months each year. We've moved again - this time we moved across the street to La Posa North where it is a little quieter, quite a bit roomier, and there's much less dust floating in the air.It was getting pretty crowded at La Posa West in the area closest to the wash.  Across the wash is the beginning of the RV Show and The Big Tent Event - it's a short walk, so that's prime real estate during the show.  Tomorrow is the end of the Big Tent Event, but I'd guess many of the other vendors will stay to increase their sales.
