We had our usual start to the day...sitting in our recliners with our coffee, Steve editing pictures taken yesterday and then Dianne working on the blog post...all while watching our local morning news from 'back home'. We do love our mornings!Just after 10:30 we were ready to head out on one of the trails. We thought we would start by taking the Palo Verde Trail to the Kris Eggle Visitor Center...a 2.6 mile/4.2 km walk through the desert with views of the Ajo Mountain Range.A huge Organ Pipe Cactus...this area (Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument) is one of the few places in the United States where you can see large stands of organ pipe cacti. We have been having trouble at Walkabout with our satellite signal. Sometimes it is there and sometimes it is not. Have spent countless hours on the phone with Dish so we decided to take the receiver to a Dish authorized service shop in Kingsland. Well, we went to the address listed on the Dish website and guess what? Yup! Empty store. Thanks Dish. Appreciate the run around. Anyways, we made a turnaround and drove into St Mary's. Our first port of call was the Submarine Museum which was very interesting. An hour there looking at all the submariny type things and then a walk along the riverfront. Lunch at Langs seafood restaurant, which was so-so. A walk around town photographing the lovely old houses and back home to Timmy, who was overjoy ...Read more...

I got up in the morning and went to turn the furnace on to warm up the bathroom…and….nothing.
