So…better late than never, here it is… Last year we started at Amazon on August 26th. In all we had 17 weeks to work for peak 2014. We had a different kind of season last year, as we took advantage of a bonus offer and moved to Louisville, KY for the last four weeks. In KY we made $10/hr, and in Jeffersonville we made $10.75/hr. Rating: 3 on a scale of 5Location: This campground is located about 5 miles north of Downingtown, PA, on a back, winding, narrow road, Route 282 (aka Creek Road). It was the best option for us to accomplish all of the things we wanted to do while back home for the month. There are very few RV parks in this area (we checked out the KOA in Embreville, PA). It was a central location for visiting with family and friends and seeing our medical providers. The Brandywine Creek runs along the campground that provides for a very beautiful setting among the lush Pennsylvania forest. Lot Size: We had a back-in site (I thought we had a reserved a pull-through), but it was in a great location along the creek. Getting to Sitka turned into a story all its own. Sitka was the capital of the 1800 Russian-American territory and the place where the transfer of power took place when Alaska was sold to the US. Therefore, it was rich with history and a place we wanted to see. Our original ferry from Ketchikan to Sitka was cancelled so we were rerouted all the way to the end of the Bellingham route at Skagway and then back to Sitka on the return trip of the ship to Bellingham, adding two more interesting days to our ferry ride at no cost. Few years ago we have spent 2 months in Utah ,hiking most of the National Parks and hardly missing and “Arch” ,so this year we concentrated on beautiful Utah Valley that we missed then. Yesterday we made a 200 Mile trip from Springville UT to Baker Nevada ,as we drove this deserted scenic road the scenery has changed from lashing green to desert colors and high mountains that have their own appeal, there were stretches of 80 Miles with no service what so ever and it is good to be prepared.
