do you ever have those mornings where it’s too relaxed, too leisurely of a start to rush out the door? we had planned on hiking to a mountaintop lake in rocky mountain nat’l park but the morning was one of those linger over coffee, don’t rush out of bed too fast kind of mornings, and so we didn’t. then we headed off and ended up feeling like it might be too late of a start for a hike so we drove trail ridge road instead. it was fortuitous though, because even though we checked the weather at points all along the way, and all said sun, sun, and more sun! we were instead followed quite closely by dark, dark, dark clouds and rain. of which, had we hiked, we would have been right in the middle of. see how nice ...Read more...
