We can afford to be fair-weather hikers...we live here. On Friday, we had plans to hike Avalanche Peak with friends, Jerry and Kim, who work at Madison Campground. There is no cell service or internet at Madison, so we planned this hike a few weeks ago. The weather had been beautiful the past several days, but I guess Avalanche Peak just wasn't meant to be. It was cloudy and rainy. I don't hike in the rain, if I can help it. And I sure don't climb to the top of a mountain in the rain.So, instead of hiking, we gave Jerry and Kim a tour of our old stomping ground...the Lake Area.
