We got away from home at about 9:00 and headed north and then west. We had an uneventful drive through Idaho. We noticed there was no snow on the mountains in Idaho, and I don’t know if it’s because it’s warmer or the mountains are not as high as in Salt Lake. We made it to Ontario, Oregon, which is just over the river from Idaho. It took us about 8 hours to drive just over 400 miles. We stopped at the visitor center and were asking the lady in the Visitor Center if she knew where we could stay for the night. She told us that if we were self-contained, go ahead and stay there, so that’s what we did.
