 Friday, January 3, 2014Site 14, Big Flats CG, Myakka River State Park, Sarasota, FloridaClick On Any Photo To Enlarge  We had reservations at Big Flats Campground which is the closest campground to the Upper Myakka Lake and the concession area.  We like this campground because it is smaller  (26 sites) and more natural.  However, there are only a couple sites that can handle a 35ft rig.  Big Flats CG Entrance  Site 14    All the campsites in the park have 50 amp and water. Big Flats CG does not have sewer.  There is a newer and larger campground, Palmetto Ridge,  closer to the park entrance which can handle Big Rigs and has water, sewer and 50 amp service.
