Entering the southern entrance of the Trace with the car today so we could visit other points of interest that are not really accessible via RV.First stop: Milepost 41.5 Sunken Trace Picnic at Sunken TraceGary is standing in the Sunken Trace section..This was originally worn down by animals and then people 12 - 15ft. as they traveled back from Natchez to Nashville. It is apparent how easily outlaws could ambush travelers moving along the path.Milepost 30.0 Windsor Ruins--this was the sight of an antebellum mansion built between 1859 and 1861.
