Two months ago, our friend Lucas suggested that I spend more time on Instagram. Even though I still only post just a few times a week, I really enjoy following fellow travelers. Earlier this week I saw on Instagram that The RV Nomads were in the Ventura area, so I asked where they were camping and they replied with an invite to hang out. Last night we met Alayne and Christian at a restaurant where we compared favorite campgrounds and learned about their current camp host job at Carpinteria State Beach. Camp hosting is a cool way to get free camping in exchange for volunteer work; but depending on the park, it sounds like a 3 month stay could seem like eternity.
