Robbinston, Maine High 81 Low 59Today we drove to Campobello Island. It is an island that is part of New Brunswick, Canada but is accessed from Lubec, Maine. From Lubec we took the Franklin Roosevelt Memorial Bridge. Lubec is the most eastern town in the United States.Our first stop was the Roosevelt Campobello International Park.We stopped in the Visitor Center, where we watched a film about how Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt first came to Campobello Island and inherited a small home which was enlarged to accommodate their family. The home was enlarged to it's present size and is filled with antique furnishings. The film also told about Franklin's polio and that he lost the use of his legs.
