Tuesday September 16, 2014Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve Strong City, Kansas Today is one of my kind of drives, only 126 miles to The Tall Grass Prairie National Preserve and then another 14 miles to Emporia RV Park in Emporia, Kansas. I guess it was an SDD (Sherry driving day). HA! We had intended to go straight to the park, unhitch and come back to the preserve but in driving right by it seemed pretty clear there was room in the parking lot for Winnona. From the parking lot the VC looks like a bunker built into the side of the hill. But when we get there the patio is really attractive and there is a lovely mural on the wall.
