From the site: Dave & Diane throwing caution to the wind - A couple travel days
I guess it’s time to play catch up on the blog again. We packed up and rolled out of Fredericksburg Texas on Monday 5/5/14 with a plan to stop at the Hill Top RV Park in Fort Stockton Texas for an overnight stay. Just a stretch of road outside of Fredericksburg. The clouds gave way to a very sunny day shortly after. We picked Fort Stockton because it made for a 280 mile travel day and it was right at the turn off to highway 285 that we planned to take north to Santa Fe New Mexico. A good chunk of our day was on freeway so another un-eventful travel day. It was cloudy when we hit the road but by the time we rolled into Fort Stockton it was in the mid 90’s and warm.
