Mammoth Campground in Yellowstone National Park is $20/night, first come first serve, with no hookups. We arrived at 12:30pm this past Sunday and when we checked in there were 3 spots to choose from. One wasn’t level, one was kind of un-level and the other was level. There was another empty spot next to the level one, but for some reason, they didn’t offer it to us. Silly me thought the kind of un-level one had more privacy, and I figured we’d just use a few blocks and we’d be fine. So we go back to register for that site.
