The first time we stayed at an Oregon State Park was in 2009 when we went on our landmark 3 week vacation that turned first into 3 months and then into years of full-time RVing. After three chilling days on the coast we moved farther inland to Joseph Stewart Park.  Joseph H Stewart State Recreation Area is located between the city of Medford and the awesome national park, Crater Lake. We pulled into this campground towards the end of June and almost immediately realized we should probably make plans for the 4th of July which was rapidly approaching. Otherwise we may be caught on the side of the highway wondering where we could possibly hang about.
