Out of the two weeks on the road, Deke and I had two days by ourselves. Friday we left Laura, Kevin and Kyle and headed south on 5 to the town of Clearwater then north to Wells Gray Provincial Park — a beautiful place with everything you could want. There are several lakes (Clearwater Lake): waterfalls (Helmcken and Dawson): historical homesteads (The Ray Family Homestead): Marilyn Monroe look-alikes (we saw this one twice): places to take guided horse rides: and what appeared to be one of the most remote campgrounds I’ve ever seen about 50 km down this road: There are 4 boat in only campgrounds at the end of the road, and 3 RV campgrounds (here’s a photo of one of the spots in Falls Creek Campground) – and a ...Read more...
