Saturdays are drive days for us. We work during the week, drive on Saturday and hopefully relax on Sunday. The reason drive day is Saturday vs. Sunday is just in case the campground we’re moving to doesn’t work out, it gives us another day to find a place to camp. I had high hopes for our first stop yesterday. San Lorenzo Canyon Recreation Area promised beautiful slot canyons and looked like it was close enough to the highway for cell reception. There is cell service near the entrance, though it quickly drops away as you head toward the canyon.
