The last time I changed the air filter on the Detroit Diesel 6V92 was in January of 2012, so it has been three years. Surprisingly the filter was not that dirty, and I probably could have let it be for another year, but there is no penalty for replacing an air filter too soon, right? Out with the old....In with the new.... Made my work area comfortable....The 'snorkel' all cleaned up...Looks easy peasy, right? Getting the old one out is relatively easy, but getting the new one in, and the two metal straps that hold it in place refastened is a b**ch!
