From the site: Winds of Destiny - RVLife - Palmetto Island State Park - 5/01/15
We wanted to spend some time enjoying nature with our dog, Sadie, so we visited this state park, It is approximately 1,300 acres and opened in 2010. It is very close to Betty's RV Park where we are staying, but due to a bridge being closed we had to take a roundabout route to get there. Admission is $2/person that is paid at the entrance to the park. A map was provided and we decided to go to the Lagoon Trail that is located near the banks of the Vermilion River.
