The popular Free Night Sky events continue this summer at the Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico. The remaining 2015 Star Party dates are: Sept. 12 and Oct. 10. “The park is a perfect spot for viewing the wonders of the night sky due to its location miles away from the lights of the local communities.” Because the rangers are asking that people arrive before dark (bright headlights impair night vision), why not get there earlier in the day and take a tour of this fantastic, cool [56°F (13°C) average temperature] natural wonder.
