Wednesday morning (10/21) after a great night’s sleep we woke too much better weather than we had yesterday, only a few clouds in the sky but it was dry and we were in the mood to do some touring of the area. We hopped in the Jeep about 9 and headed out in the general direction of Jerome but before getting there we made a stop at Tuzigoot National Monument that is an ancient village built by the Sinagua people. Franklin D. Roosevelt designated Tuzigoot Ruins as a U.S. National Monument on July 25, 1939. There is a small but nice visitor center with some displays of pottery, jeweler, tools and a few other things that you would expect to see.
