As the crow flies, the National Naval Aviation Museum was just a couple miles from Fort Pickens where we were staying, but it took a bit of time to actually drive there from one end of the island all the way through Pensacola. Jase would say it was definitely worth it. (And we passed by an Airstream fresh-air restaurant area, Al Fresco, for a bite to eat so I say it was worth it as well. But really, I enjoyed it as well.) The Aviation Museum is located on the Pensacola Naval Air Station and is open to all visitors. And it’s free!
