Our drive today from Munising to Germfask, Michigan took us two hours. The roads were basically empty and beautiful roads for driving.We chose Big Cedar Campground in Germfask because it was ten miles from Curtis, Michigan, a place I spent two fun summers when I was ten and 12 years old.  My grandmother had a summer cabin on Manistique Lake. My love for fishing grew exponentially during those summers catching nightcrawlers for bait, setting minnow traps (also for bait), then fishing for and catching some of Michigan's best fighting fish: walleyes and Northern pike. I remember getting my picture taken holding up a stringer filled with large fish. I also spent lots of time on an inner tube riding the waves to shore. Wonderful memories.Af ...Read more...
