If you haven’t seen wakeboarding, you’ve missed some exciting water sport action. With about 50 sites operating in the United States, finding a wakeboarding location isn’t always easy. But we recently found one right next door to our RV Park. So what exactly is this sport? In 1959, Bruno Rixen invented a the activity in Germany that came to be known as cable wakeboarding. It would eventually spread worldwide, particularly in Europe. This sport is a way to ski from a rope and handle pulled by an electrically powered cable rather than the more familiar version behind a motorboat.
