Nestled quietly away in North Central North Dakota is a pleasant little Campground lying alongside Buffalo Lodge Lake. To get to Buffalo Lodge Lake make your way to Granville, ND, then proceed north on 12th Ave North for several miles, then turn right on 63rd St. 63rd St is a dirt road and will take you out to the lake where you will see a small sign for the campground which will be on your left. The entire campground is not more than 10 Acres but it is exceptional for several reasons. The campground is completely free, yes, free. There are no assigned spaces, there is simply a ten acre peninsula between two arms of the lake and a half dozen or so steel fire rings that campers move as they wish.
