From the site: An Indian and a Gypsy - J. Strom Thurmond Lake
We made the short trip Wednesday and got settled in on our site by the J. Strom Thurmond Lake in the Petersburg Campground. This is the largest campground on this lake and with 93 sites it is the only one to stay open year round.There is a beach area out from our site where we can set or take a walk along the water, the water is nice and clear. On the weekend this campground stays full and you have to make a reservation which we did because we will be here for ten days. A small beach across the water.A husband and wife out early kayaking with their dogs. The dog was watching me as they were passing by.
