I saw the strangest sight Monday evening. Jerry was posing for a Chinese family photograph that was being taken outside the campground office. He was in the middle, between the mother and father, who were no taller than 4 feet something, while the daughter snapped the photos. After a couple additional minutes of conversation with the family, Jerry then comes inside the office and says to me, “You should listen to them. We came to Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort after the RVSEF Conference to visit with our friends Jesse & Ginger, unwind a little, get some work done, and get our Jeep serviced and inspected. Sunday Today we concentrated on getting some emails returned and solidifying future rally plans.  I was hoping to get registration opened for our Spring 2014 Rally in Tennessee, but we're still finalizing some negotiations and I'm waiting for confirmation of terms. We took our first family trip on the Yough together, Lizzy & I shredding while the boys all kayaked. It was so fun, even though Lizzy and I have not mastered the shredder. We didn't flip, or fall out, but it wasn't pretty. We didn't hit our lines and kept getting stuck, but hey, a day not IN the river is a success! Before we left Vicksburg, we made a quick stop at the Vicksburg Battlefield and Museum. Lucky for us, as this was the last free day to see this National Park and coincided with the last day our NP pass was valid as we purchased it last April. At $80, we have gotten our money’s worth out of it. We decided to purchase the audio CD that explains the stops along the roadway. As we toured the battlefield via automobile, it became apparent to me just how close the Union line was from the Confederate line; only 50 to 100 yards apart for almost 6 miles around the eastern side of Vicksburg.
