On a recent trip to Wimberley to get away from the hectic Austin my wife and I decided to go capture all of the giant cowboy boots that were scattered around Wimberley. The boots were an idea put together to showcase the western charm and artistic “bent” of Wimberley. Wimberley itself is an amazing city of artisans. Not just painters, but artists of all kinds – sculpters of all types – brass, copper, other metals, clay, marble and junk – yes junk. Painters, mosaic makers, and almost anyone visually oriented you can think of. Then there are the actors and actresses – there are several venues for live plays in Wimberley.
